I am a proud owner of Wheelman “motorcycle for your feet” (you can see what it is really is at www.bushpig.com). Recenlty I’ve had a chance to compete with a latest Segway human transporter. Happy to inform you all, guys, I won. But when it comes to design, silent work and the finished look – Segway is the best choice.
The one and only thing that stops me from buying a brand new Segway is it’s price: $10′000 (here, in Moscow) – it’s way too much for a recreational transport device with so many limitation. My Wheelman costed me $600 and it’s worth every dollar I’ve spent on it.
So, and the most interesting part – the photos:
On the bushpig website it says its about 22kg – is it light enough to properly chuck around? Whats the build quality like? Would you consider taking it off a park bench?
Где ты видел Segway в Москве за $10,000 ? Он 7 стоит в лучшем случае в Le Futur. А можно из Америки за 4-5 заказать.
Guest: 10500 стоит Segway в Lefutur. “Повышенная проходимость и ультраёмкая батарейка”. А из Америки за 4-5 заказать нелья: добавь таможню и стоимость пересылки и отсутствие гарантии.
ynl: yes, it’s light enough, you can even lift it (the thing you can not do with Segway). Build quality… is questionable, at the first look. But, after all, it still works, so I think it’s all ok.
Вчера хорошо рассмотрел Segway в действии, могу сказать, что вещь действительно великолепная, пусть и дорого пока. Идеальное исполнение достойной идеи, по-моему.
А взглянув на Wheelman осталось слишком много сомнений… Нужны специальные навыки? Шум? Качество и правда немного под сомнением. Конструкция тоже вызывает вопросы… И я уж не говорю о том, что любой продукт надо грамотно презентовать – все материалы по Wheelman, информация и ее представление, достойное сопровождение продукта не выдерживает критики…
